You could say a love for plants runs in Sara's  roots —

one grandfather owned an orchard, the other could grow just about anything with a little dirt and sunshine. It’s no surprise she picked up the green gene too.

Sara's journey bloomed early, watering plants at a local greenhouse at just 14 years old. She went on to work with local florists throughout high school and college, soaking up hands-on experience with every petal and bouquet. In college, she studied event planning and hospitality (with a side of horticulture, earning her minor) — blending her passions for celebration and nature.

Sara has spent nearly a decade creating memorable community events for Business Publications' brands DSM and Business Record, from intimate gatherings to large-scale experiences. But her entrepreneurial spirit always tugged at her heart, driving a dream that had been growing for years: to own a boutique flower shop.

Recently, that dream bloomed into reality. Today, Sara pours her love for flowers, events, and people into every custom arrangement, helping make life’s biggest — and smallest — moments SHiNE.
